(CBN4, DOMINICA)-Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has urged Dominicans to show appreciation for the gifts that the country has received.
Speaking at the town hall meeting in Paix Bouche, the Prime Minister indicated that he has always been able to count on the government and people of China to come to Dominica’s aid when we are most in need.
One project that will soon be undertaken is the West Coast Road.
Skerrit announced that the contract has been awarded and contractors are already on island.
The Prime Minister stressed that Dominicans should stand in condemnation of those who criticize the Chinese people.
He also announced that one other roadway will undergo a facelift very soon: the road between Portsmouth and Hatton Garden.
Skerrit commented that had it not been for Tropical Storm Erika, that road would have been started this year, however, priorities had to be rearranged.
